Kate Beckinsale has issued another cryptic update from the hospital, raising concerns among followers as she battles a secret health ailment.
The 50-year-old English actress, well known for her role in the Underworld trilogy, raised concerns on Easter Sunday when she tweeted another photo from a hospital bed.
Her Sunday message was just one of numerous frightening updates she’s given recently, with her 5.6 million followers urgently attempting to figure out what was wrong.
Kate has been writing from the hospital for over a month now, and she is definitely going through a difficult time. With each post, those who care about her become increasingly concerned.
Even singer Gwen Stefani asked ‘What’s wrong?’ when Kate responded ‘No’ to questions over whether she was recovering in hospital after rupturing an ovarian cyst.
Kate and her close friend Jonny Voluck were seen wearing pyjamas on a visit to her side, with both sporting absurdly oversized head-and-neck pillows.
The actress also posted other photos in the gallery post, including a view of a rainbow from her bed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in West Hollywood.
She also shared a photo of a novelty jar containing ‘f**ks to give’, which was most likely provided as a present, as well as Sloane Crosley’s book Grief is for People.
Fans were initially allowed to comment on the post, and when they were they sent good wishes and told Kate they hope she gets better, but comments have now been limited as fans speculate about her health on her account.
A source told ET: ‘Kate Beckinsale hasn’t been doing or feeling well. She was supposed to go to an Oscars party and had to cancel. She is doing her best to take care of herself, but it’s not a great situation.’
The Emma actress has lately been in sorrow for her stepfather, Roy, who died earlier this year after having a stroke. She has also been caring for her mother, Judy, who is suffering with health challenges of her own.
After presenting an award at the Golden Globes in January, she went straight to the hospital to be with her stepfather Roy, who passed away a few days later.
Kate celebrated the resilience of her mum Judy on Mother’s Day last month, saying: ‘Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s**t and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t.’
Even in the post to her mum, Kate implied things haven’t been great for her health recently: ‘And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us.’
