Kate Beckinsale begged a cruel troll to stop messaging her after receiving a derogatory message while in the hospital.
The 50-year-old actress, who is in the hospital but has not revealed any details about her current situation, sounded devastated as she responded to a horrifying message on social media.
Responding to a photo of her cuddling up her Pomeranian pet Myf, the follower cruelly messaged Kate saying: ‘Her cat is dead so I guess this dog will do.’
He quickly added: ‘Omg. I didn’t mean to send that to you. Ignore.’
However, Kate pointed out that if that was the case, the person could have simply deleted the message before opening it instead of sending another.
Sharing a screenshot of the messages on her Instagram Story, she wrote: ‘Both my dads are dead so I guess my mum will do, you could also say.

‘If you really meant for me not to see this you could have deleted it. You chose not to. You wanted me to feel pain. I already do, in many ways.
‘Don’t feel you need to message me again. Please.
Kate’s heart was ‘absolutely and totally broken’ when her beloved cat Clive died in June 2023.
She wrote at the time: ‘I don’t have it in me to make a montage or even look at pictures of him yet.

‘Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it. If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit and I’m sorry.’
Kate and her family recently lost her stepfather, Roy Battersby, who had been married to her mother Judy since 1997.
‘I fought for you with everything I had. Oh Roy I am so sorry I lost,’ she wrote in tribute.
Battersby was a director who had worked on major British television shows such as Inspector Morse and Cracker, with his most recent project being an episode of A Touch Of Frost eight years ago.

His filmography includes Red Mercury and Winter Flight.
The actress criticised Bafta for not including Roy in the film awards’ in memoriam segment. However, he was later confirmed to be honoured at the TV awards ceremony later this year.
Judy previously married Kate’s father, Richard Beckinsale, from 1977 until his death two years later.
Fans are concerned after the Underworld actress posted several hospital photos on Instagram recently, including one in honour of her mother Judy on Mother’s Day.
She recently wrote: ‘Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother.’

Kate thanked ‘those that love us and support us’ when times are tough, adding: ‘And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t.
‘And turn up when we are sick and sit with us . . And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.’
One Instagram follower, Mandy, commented underneath the post: ‘Are you OK? Why are you in a hospital? Please get Well soon😢.’
Another fan named Paul asked: ‘What on earth are you doing in hospital Kate?’
And a fan called Melody shared: ‘Such a sweet post for your Mama. I pray for your recovery, whatever it is you may be going through Kate. ❤️.’
