Kate Beckinsale has led fans to be concerned once more after removing all of her hospital posts while dealing with an unknown health condition.
The English actress, 50, famed for her role in the Underworld film franchise, has been posting images from the Cedars Sinai medical hospital in Los Angeles.
Kate began informing her 5.6 million Instagram followers about her mysterious health concerns in March, before a spate of photos continued from her hospital bed.
However, she has decided to erase every Instagram post she has made recently that mentions her hospital stay, further confusing admirers.
The Vacancy actress has yet to clarify the cause for her hospitalisation, and her followers have grown increasingly concerned as the series of cryptic postings continues.
And it appears she has turned off the button that allows admirers to leave fresh comments on all of her Instagram posts, where they would ordinarily speculate about her health.
So far, Kate has only divulged that the disease is unrelated to burst ovarian cysts or endometriosis, responding ‘No’ to an Instagram remark asking whether it was the cause for her stay.
After thanking the individual for their well wishes, she said that she had previously suffered from a burst ovarian cyst, but that the condition had been resolved in 2019.
Kate’s recent hospital appointments have even alarmed fellow celebs, with singer Gwen Stefani asking ‘What’s wrong?’ in the comments of Kate’s Instagram postings.
In the last photo she shared before the wholesale erasure, the Van Helsing actress and her close friend Jonny Voluck were seen wearing pyjamas on a visit to her side, with both sporting comically huge head-and-neck pillows.
In that gallery post, the Pearl Harbour actress also posted other photos, including a glimpse of a rainbow from her private room at the West Hollywood medical facility.
Fans and followers were initially able to comment on her posts, but Kate eventually imposed limits before removing the posts and turning off the comments entirely.
Regarding her hospital stay, a source told ET: ‘Kate Beckinsale hasn’t been doing or feeling well. She was supposed to go to an Oscars party and had to cancel. She is doing her best to take care of herself, but it’s not a great situation.’
And her hospitalisation occurred shortly after the loss of her stepfather, Roy, who died earlier this year after a stroke. She has also been caring for her mother, Judy, who is suffering with health challenges of her own.
Kate’s first hospital visit of the year came in January after presenting an award at the Golden Globes, and Roy was the focus of her visit.
And in a recent Mother’s Day post, Kate implied things haven’t been great for her health recently: ‘And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us.’
