Amanda Holden has said that she is all about body acceptance and enables her teenage daughter to post whatever she wants online, including bikini pictures.
Amanda, who made news earlier this week when she stripped nude at work, explained why she will not limit her daughter’s social media presence.
The 53-year-old claimed that her 18-year-old daughter Lexi Hughes, whom she shares with her husband of 20 years Chris Hughes, approached her and told her about the information she planned to distribute online.
The Britain’s Got Talent star explained; ‘Lexi did speak to me and her dad about this. She is 18 years old now, so I feel like she’s confident and we have always encouraged body positivity in our house.’
‘I feel like if she’s ready to do that then we’re all for it. She knows what could happen from doing it, but I think she should be able to do what she wants when she wants, and at 18 that’s the correct time to do it.’
Amanda continued to explain in the interview with MailOnline, that ultimately if her daughter is happy, she is happy.
‘I wouldn’t have encouraged it before, she posted a photo last year in a bikini when she was 17 but again, that’s her choice. We are happy if she is happy.’
Lexi routinely posts bikini photos of herself on social media. Six of her 31 Instagram images include her wearing a bikini and standing beside a pool or the ocean.
Lexi, who is still in full-time study at the age of 18, has been signed to Storm modelling agency, which also represents Kate Moss, Behati Prinsloo, and Cara Delevingne.
Amanda has backed her daughter’s decision to publish bikini photos online, which is not surprising given that she had previously shared a bikini photograph on Instagram.

Amanda channelled Pamela Anderson in a little red bikini on a beach vacation with her family last month, and she even humorously went naked on the radio earlier this week.
The host, who co-presents Heart Radio with Jamie Theakston, revealed her naked look earlier this week during a life drawing programme.
‘I don’t want to kill the magic… obviously, everyone thinks I’m naked, but I was not naked.’
Amanda added: ‘There is no way I would get my full kit off with boys in the studio, but it was fun. I was wearing underwear, but this was our whole point, when I come back to Heart after being away, I always like to return with a bang. I did not know it was happening.’
She revealed that she felt more confident about the gag as she had a good tan.
‘Luckily, I have a good team of female producers who were armed and ready and they knew I would be up for it because I had a tan basically. So, I stripped off to my underwear.’
‘There is no way I would get everything out for any reason because you have to have some decency in life, although I don’t judge anyone that does. I was perfectly happy to sit there and do it and it was so much fun.’
Amanda concluded light-heartedly: ‘It was pretty alarming sitting in a studio with your pants on, but you do always feel better when you have a tan.’
