Katherine Ryan has reacted angrily to a fan who criticised her parenting of infant Fenna Grace.
On Monday, the 39-year-old comic shared a lovely carousel of her week with husband Bobby Kootstra and her three children, Violet, 13, Frederick, one, and infant Fenna Grace, whom the couple welcomed in December.
But one image, in which Katherine holds infant Fenna while holding a full glass of wine on the table in front of them, prompted one follower to lash out in the post’s comments area.
‘Enough with the wine drinking whilst still breastfeeding. I couldn’t care less about statistics about percentages. Alcohol isn’t healthy for adults…nevermind babies’, they said.
Katherine replied with her staple blunt energy: ‘Kera my small children are smart enough to slowly explain to you why it’s fine.’
Others were less worried, even congratulating the celebrity for included booze on her breakfast menu.

One said, ‘Are you having a glass of wine at breakfast? Because if you are, you’re my new favorite person,’ while another wrote: ‘Wine for breakfast! My Queen!’
The sceptics should not have been too concerned, since the NHS website states that an occasional drink is ‘unlikely’ to damage a baby, especially if you wait at least two hours before feeding.
If you consistently consume up to 14 units per week, it is better to spread your consumption across three or more days.
In brief, Karen – I mean Kera – little and often is acceptable.
Other images from the family’s vacation include more cute shots of the group having fun at home and out and about in Hertfordshire.
Katherine had previously uploaded a photo of herself drinking wine and breastfeeding, which sparked controversy, but this is the first time comments prompted the mother of three to respond.
The Canadian comic confirmed her pregnancy in November on her podcast Katherine Ryan: Telling Everybody Everything, in which she said: ‘You guys know I’m pregnant, I’ve been pregnant for a while and here’s how I achieved that.
‘I got pregnant while breastfeeding the first time I tried and to be honest with you I don’t think it’s going to work because I’m 39 – I would have been 38 when I got pregnant.
‘And I thought “we’ve got to get the kids out of the way”. You never know how long you’re gonna have and I love my kids.’
The Duchess star also revealed to being concerned about her ability to conceive another child after suffering two miscarriages in the past.
The comedian and her husband Bobby were childhood sweethearts in Canada when they were 15, but reconnected in 2019 and have been on a roll ever since.
Katherine’s family is frequently the subject of her stand-up, as she has laughed about her daughter Violet’s fancy English accent.
