Katie Price has urged her fans not to undergo the ‘lip flip’ Botox surgery after showing them a scar from a botched procedure.
The 45-year-old mother of five and former glamour model has had various procedures over the years, including 16 breast implants, multiple eye lifts and lip fillers, and liposuction, but she has advised admirers about one of the current cosmetic crazes.
A lip flip is described as a ‘non-surgical subtle procedure of injecting Botox into the upper lip border to make it “flip” and enhance the shape’.
However, Katie has intervened this week to prevent her admirers from undergoing the treatment, noting that a lip flip slip might result in long-term harm.
During a Facebook broadcast, a fan inquired if she would recommend a lip flip, and she promptly responded no.
‘No, don’t do it!’ she addressed the person who asked the question. ‘I did it, and can you see the scar?’ Katie then said, moving closer to the camera.
‘I didn’t really like the lip flip,’ she then added, before continuing to answer more questions from fans around the world who had tuned in to the live stream.
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant looks to have altered her tune since having the lip filler treatment earlier in 2023.
‘I am loving my new lips. Look at them. I love my new lips,’ she first said to her fans after getting the procedure done, appearing to be happy with them.
She also said: ‘I’ve just had my anti-wrinkles done, my new lips done, I’ve got my new nose. I’m feeling refreshed – not bad for 45.’
‘So this is what we do on our lunchtime,’ she remarked in another video she put on her social media account. ‘Needles in the lips,’ whilst being injected.
Last month, the My Mucky Mansion star revealed that she had occasionally ‘gone too far’ with her many cosmetic operations, but she has determined to keep them up.
‘I know sometimes when I have gone too far. I have been there done it with all the fillers. I don’t have fillers now,’ she told the Go Love Yourself podcast.
Katie had her first breast augmentation surgery when she was 20 years old, and she has since had 15 more surgeries over the course of 25 years.
Katie has had liposuction beneath her chin and has gone up and down numerous bra sizes over the years, spending an estimated £500,000 on cosmetic treatment.
‘I do in my lips and I have Botox because it got to the point where my face just looked like a balloon. Like really shiny. I am starting to look alien.’
