Junior Andre has opened out about growing up with famous parents Katie Price and Peter Andre in a rare disclosure.
The 17-year-old doesn’t say much about his famous parents, who met on I’m A Celebrity in 2004 before parting five years later after having Junior and Princess, his 15-year-old sister.
Junior has previously stated that he would like to appear on I’m A Celebrity one day, but he has recently been focused on following in his father’s footsteps and establishing his own singing career.
The son of Mysterious Girl hitmaker rocketed to the top of the charts within hours of its debut last year, bidding goodbye to Harry Styles and Lady Gaga as it rose.
Junior, who is focused on his own achievements, recently revealed facts about growing up with famous parents in a social media Q&A.
Responding to a fan, the Slide singer stated the ‘biggest negative’ element of growing up in the public spotlight is that he’s had ‘no privacy’.
‘Everyone’s watching your next move, your next step, you have no privacy, and that’s the most negative thing you know,’ he said.
‘Sometimes I think you just want to be normal, feel free and that’s sort of taken away from you because you have to be conscious of what you’re doing all the time.’
Junior will be hoping to catch some sunshine this summer while performing at his first music festival, Camp Bestival, in August, with Eurovision star Sam Ryder, Primal Scream, Rudimental, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Junior secured a record deal with Columbia Records in August, which he stated was a ‘dream come true’.
Dad Pete, 49, couldn’t be more pleased of his son’s musical goals, as when Slide was published, he said on social media, ‘What a day today son. ‘Super proud,’ she said, beside a photo of the two beaming.
Junior certainly looks up to his popstar father, responding, ‘Love you dad.’
