Kerry Katona kept fans updated on her health while she took time away from her hectic work schedule to rehabilitate.
The 42-year-old former Atomic Kitten singer was about to go on her No Regrets tour when she was forced to cancel concerts owing to her health.
Kerry explained that after being diagnosed with scoliosis, a lateral curvature of the spine, she had been in great agony for several years as she attempted to control the ache in her back.
She revealed her motivation for being off the road for the time being while writing an essay for her New! Magazine column.
The star shared: ‘I had to make the decision to postpone my tour last week, which was so difficult.
‘I hate saying no to work and letting people down. I was really battling with myself and getting emotional about it because I was so excited to see you all there.

‘But ultimately, the doctor told me I needed complete rest and had to put my health first.’
She also stated that she would be taking the necessary time to ensure that she was both physically and psychologically prepared for her future appearances around the country.
Kerry previously detailed the effects of the condition during a chat with The Mirror: ‘I’ve lived with chronic pain for years, so to actually get a diagnosis and have a plan of action to try and give it treatment – I feel validated and cried because I was in so much pain.
‘Yeah, it was crippling – I got fed up with hearing myself complain, I’m so used to my pain, I will carry on with it. I’m always busy and work and I’ve got the kids, I always put myself last.’
The mum-of-five went on to chat about her tour and the strain it took on her physical health: ‘Oh my God, it’s got to be the hardest tour I’ve ever done. I was in a different bed every single night, that’s what crippled me at the end.
‘I got home and my body just went into shut down, I love my job, there’s no two days the same, I’m not stuck behind a desk – I’m so lucky and grateful.’
