Laura Anderson has come under fire for marketing booze on the same day that she announced her pregnancy.
The Love Island 2018 contestant, 33, announced on Wednesday that she is expecting her first child boyfriend Gary Lucy.
Laura met the Footballers Wives star, 41, on Celebs Go Dating last year, but they have since revealed that they are no longer together, but want to co-parent once their kid is born.
Laura’s pleasant bubble at this wonderful moment, however, appears to have been partly blown by social media bullies.
After announcing her pregnancy on February 15, the expectant mother posted a video to Instagram promoting Emperor Vodka.
Laura is shown in the video getting ready for a Valentine’s date night before pouring several cocktails.

She concludes the video by sitting at the table with a dinner and her pink alcoholic beverage, raising the glass for a ‘cheers’ but without taking a drink.
The reality star captioned her post: ‘Mixin’ up some cocktail magic on Valentine’s Day with @emperorvodka 🌹 With its impeccable 5x distillation process, it’s the epitome of smoothness. Whether shaken or enjoyed on the rocks, it never fails to impress 🍸
‘Shop the full Emperor Vodka range now: http://www.emperorvodka.com’.
‘Enjoy responsibly’, she added at the end. ‘Be drink aware’.
But, her video caused confusion for some of Laura’s 1.5million followers, as one asked: ‘Are you drinking while pregnant 🤔’

‘Since when do pregnant women advertise alcohol, no you don’t see you drinking it but still so wrong’, wrote another.
Another individual commented: ‘Bit stupid advertising school when pregnant don’t ya think it sets off wrong signals 🧐 drinking them or not ppl will still think you are ! Not a very wise move Laura x congratulations anyway great news for you both 💖’
Laura’s fans, on the other hand, were quick to point out that the commercial was just a case of ‘poor timing.’
‘I think this post is just more of a case of bad timing. She’s not drinking but advertising a drinks brand the exact same time as telling the world she’s pregnant, prob just not great pr from her management! Or is it??????…..’, one commented.

Passionately defending Laura, another wrote: ‘This lady clearly has advertisements to do, give the women a break, just because she’s advertising alcohol doesn’t mean she’s actually drinking it, would you think the same about a woman working behind in pub/bar whilst pregnant, I 100% don’t think you would. Works is work pregnant or not she’s got to make an income. Give the lady come credit! 💗’
Several others noted that the commercial was most likely ‘pre-recorded’ and begged critics to ‘give the woman a break’.
Laura and Gary announced her pregnancy with a heartwarming video captioned, ‘Our hearts are full, Baby Lucy due Summer ’23.’
Afterwards, though, Gary added some clarity following split reports.
‘I love Laura but we are no longer together,’ Gary said midweek.
The actor, who already has four children with his ex-wife Natasha Gray, also stated that co-parenting with Laura is his major priority right now.
‘My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child,’ Gary shared.
He also noted to The Sun: ‘I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.’
