Michelle Keegan, 36, and Mark Wright, 37, have shown their newly refurbished entry hall, but admirers have pointed out several practical difficulties with the clean white area.
The pair, who have been married for eight years and made headlines last week for their intense PDA on a beach in Australia, unveiled their freshly built entry hall to their Essex property.
The pair has been recording the completion of their home, which they built on land they acquired for £1.3 million in 2019, on their joint social media account.
The account displayed everything about the house, from the extensive gardens with a large pool and a dazzling white terrace to the matching matte black door knobs and plug plugs.
The most recent article regarding their hallway revealed that the area was constructed with white marble tiled flooring that flowed through the entryway to the kitchen at the back of the property. The tiling went all the way up the sweeping steps to the first level, with the raindrop-style chandelier’s lamps dangling from the top.
While many people praised the interior design of this apartment, they were also eager to point out some of the obvious shortcomings.
Many people commented that the floor appeared unsafe and ‘not practical’ due to the slide issue.
One Instagram commenter Denise29love said: ‘It’s beautiful however it’s not practical , you can definitely injure yourself slipping on those shiny floors with socks on , it’s also not very cosy and more like a show house.’
Others commented that, while gorgeous, the lightbulbs in the enormous chandelier would be difficult to replace.
Iamtylercasey added: ‘Absolutely beautiful! Well done to you both @michkeegan but good luck changing the bulbs in those xx’
Lullyleela74: ‘Beautiful but I don’t fancy changing one of those bulbs.’
Some also joked about how large the stairs were and the time it’d take to actually get to the upper floors of the massive home.
Xmrskcbx commented: ‘Imagine getting downstairs and realising you left something in your bedroom.’
Becky_tidbury agreed adding: ‘I would be so p****d off I’d forgotten something and had to go all the way to the top hahahah gorgeous home! X.’
The caption of the post from the couple revealed that the home was exactly as the TV personality and the Fool Me Once actress wanted, stating the designers ‘absolutely nailed it!!’
The caption of the post read, ‘Michelle had a vision of golden raindrops falling from the sky, she wanted it to be more than just a hanging ceiling light but more of a piece of art.’
The former Towie concluded of the renovated hallway: ‘We were absolutely blown away!!’
