Matthew Perry’s final Instagram post seems to anticipate his untimely death at the age of 54.
The actor, well known for his role as Chandler Bing in the sitcom Friends, posted a photo of himself resting in a jacuzzi only days before he allegedly drowned.
The 17 Again star, who was relaxing in the hot tub with headphones in as he gazed out over what appears to be the LA skyline, captioned the post: ‘Oh so warm water swirling around you makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.’
His other recent Instagram photos feature him watching Batman in his home theatre and carving a pumpkin for Halloween, while the last with his face clearly visible was shot with his rarely-seen father John.
With his arm around his beaming father, Perry captioned the post: ‘Here is me, and my father John, both holding a beverage.’
Since US publications claimed that Perry died in his Los Angeles home, tributes have poured in, with local police confirming they had gone to the Three to Tango actor’s block ‘for a death investigation of a guy in his 50s.’
Among those commemorating Perry were his Friends co-stars, including Maggie Wheeler, who portrayed Chandler’s on-again, off-again lover Janice Hosenstein during the show’s early seasons and frequently appeared to recite her catchphrase ‘Oh! My! God.’
‘What a loss,’ Wheeler captioned a picture of the pair on Instagram.
‘The world will miss you Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on.

Selma Blair and Shannen Doherty, among others, have paid their respects to Perry.
Selma Blair, the actress of Legally Blonde, characterised Perry as her ‘oldest boy friend.’
Sharing a throwback picture, she said: ‘All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day.
‘I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams.’

In a lengthy tribute, Shannen explained her friendship with Perry dates ‘way back’ and recalled them ‘constantly laughing.’
Reflecting on the mischief they got up to, Shannen remembered: ‘We played dare and Matt had to say ridiculous things to girls at the bar. We just always had fun and supported each other. You would always find us all together in a booth speaking in our own made up language. And yes, Matt always had THAT sense of humor.’
She continued: ‘Matt and I had a date and it was on Valentine’s Day. He wanted to get a reservation at a restaurant in Malibu but couldn’t so my dad got the reservation for him. We went and he talked about my dads Irish persuasiveness the majority of the night.
‘Our friendship spanned a long time. A lifetime really. I know many are hurting, especially our little gang. He will be missed by many and definitely by us. Yes. I could be more poetic or say things better but right now, shock and sadness prevail.’
Perry, who received an Emmy nomination for his performance on Friends, co-starred with Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Courteney Cox, who played Perry’s on-screen wife Monica Geller.
After the show’s renowned 10-year run concluded in 2004, the performers reassembled on screen for the first time in 2021, having become a pop culture sensation.
Perry’s other significant TV work includes the short-lived Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, which was created by West Wing director Aaron Sorkin, as well as various films, including Fools Rush In, in which he featured with Salma Hayek and his father John.
