Molly-Mae Hague has spoken out about the abuse she received after revealing the name of her new baby girl, Bambi, claiming it ‘brought her back down to earth very soon’ after the delivery.
The PrettyLittleThing creative director and influencer revealed the birth of her daughter Bambi, whom she shares with boyfriend Tommy Fury, last week, after spending some time enjoying her new family in a baby bubble following her January 23 birth.
Molly, on the other hand, wasted no time in revealing her beautiful, Disney-inspired name after the baby’s arrival was publicised to the world.
The pair, both 23, subsequently received a barrage of online remarks, prompting Molly to disable comments on that particular post – and a robust defence from Phillip Schofield on This Morning.
Molly remarked, cradling her baby girl in her arms, ‘I’m Bambi Fury, that’s my name,’ at the start of the video. ‘I know some people don’t like it, but I adore it,’ she said as she cooed over her child.
After confessing that being a mother was both the “craziest” and “greatest” thing that had ever happened to her, the Love Island star then discussed what it was like to have such a strong reaction to Bambi’s name.

‘I can’t believe I can now say her name!’ she exclaimed, before adding: ‘The long-awaited name reveal that was a really, really hard day for me, I’ll be completely honest.’
Confirming that she had switched off the comments on her Instagram post sharing Bambi’s name, Molly went on to day that she was ‘brought back down to planet earth very, very quickly with how nasty this world can be’.
She explained: ‘I think because we’d always known that our first baby girl was going to be called Bambi, we had gotten so used to the idea of that being her name, and so to us that wasn’t really unusual anymore?
‘I know it’s unusual and unique and not going to be to everyone’s taste, so when we announced it, in my mind… it’s a beautiful name. And then two seconds later, I was like, “Oh my God!”’

The new mother then admitted she wasn’t sure why she’d addressed the name reaction because his video was’supposed to be nice.’
She then went on to discuss her labour experience, claiming that she had been induced after a check-up revealed she was one cm dilated when she was 37.5 weeks pregnant.
She also acknowledged that it was beneficial because of Tommy’s upcoming bout with Jake Paul later this month.
Tommy was therefore present for the whole delivery and witnessed ‘everything,’ with the boxer making a brief appearance to express how much he had liked the event, describing it as ‘a scientific class, but in real life,’ and adding it was ‘the finest thing’ he’d ever seen.
Molly also stated at the beginning of the video that she was “still trying to figure out how much I’m ready to show” when it came to Bambi, as she displayed how much she had transformed her already.
In a tearful beginning, she admitted: ‘This is me now, this is me just crying all the time, so emotional, so no matter how many weeks I put this off or don’t film for, this will still be me – in a year, two years, 18 years’ time!’
