Dad-to-be Joel Dommett has revealed that he has ‘no idea what he’s doing’ as he anxiously anticipates the birth of his first kid with his wife.
The comedian, 37, and model Hannah Cooper, 32, revealed their pregnancy earlier this month with a series of black and white photo booth shots of her growing belly.
She captioned it: ‘Does anyone know how to change a nappy?’
Hannah then added in a brutal quip: ‘Because Joel has s**t himself.’
He finally talked about his nerves on Friday’s episode of The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show.
According to The Sun, Joel says: ‘I really have no idea what I’m doing, but I think, hopefully, I’ll be a fun dad.’
Hannah elsewhere laughed: ‘I do worry that he sees this child as another audience member in the house.
‘I think he’ll do the classic dad jokes. I think he’ll be in performance mode.
‘It’s a lot. From the moment he wakes up he practises on me.
‘I mean, it’s nice, but it’s also annoying.’
Joel said, ‘My job requires me being a child,’ so he’ll attempt to make the midwives giggle. I have the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, so I’ll be alright.’
This comes after Joel admitted that he told former Big Brother host Davina McCall about his wonderful pregnancy news before telling his own mother.
Appearing on Monday’s episode of Loose Women on ITV, he said: ‘I haven’t really said this before. We found out – I was about to be on Radio 2 with Davina McCall, and we were about to go out that night with Davina.
‘Hannah sent me a message saying, “I’m pregnant.” I said, “Oh my God!” And then Davina walked in and I was like… Ahhh! She’s like, “What’s wrong?” I’m like, “Hannah’s pregnant!”
‘So Davina was the first person that found out. I told Davina before I told my mum!’
The Masked Singer host, who recently disclosed a surprise work connection with Sienna Miller, married Hannah in Mykonos, Greece in 2019, after nearly three years of courtship.
