Paddy and Christine McGuinness proved they can still get along for the sake of their children by banding together to support them at sports day.
After 11 years of marriage, the TV personalities announced their divorce about a year ago.
They have continued to live together, though, with their children – Penelope, nine, and twins Felicity and Leo, seven – uninformed of their divorce.
There’s certainly no bad blood between these ex-partners, as they were more than eager to spend a relaxing weekend together in the name of healthy competition.
Christine, 35, showed her joy on her Instagram page by sharing photos from her children’s wet sports day.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire actress was dressed in a puffer coat and shielded under an umbrella, yet she still smiled broadly.
‘Proudest mummy at Sports day 🥹’, she began in her caption.
‘Not only did my fabulous trio take part, they actually enjoyed it!
‘They didn’t manage to stay for the whole day (the rain got too much for them) but for the majority they wore their big beautiful smiles, they really tried their best and they all done incredibly well 🥰👏❤️’
She concluded with a heartfelt reminder for her three little ones: ‘Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you will ever know 🌍’
The model also tweeted a medal and a photo of her coffee and toastie, which kept her warm.
Meanwhile, Paddy, 49, recorded himself eating a bacon bun.
‘School sports day and it’s absolutely p***ing it down, lovely stuff,’ he joked.
Christine and Paddy agree that their present living situation is unusual, but they believe it is critical for their autistic children to maintain as much regularity as possible.
Speaking to OK! magazine recently, Christine said: ‘We definitely don’t want to upset them or change anything too quickly, and for me as well.
‘I like slow changes, and we’re alright – we’re family.
‘I’ve known Paddy for 15 years, so I don’t know life without him. It is what it is.’
Despite reports about their love life, Christine has stated that she does not wish to date again just now.
Christine and ex-husband Paddy spent Christmas together, not long after photographs of Christine kissing companion Chelcee Grimes, 31, at Winter Wonderland surfaced.
‘I was talking about this with a friend, actual dating I can’t think of anything worse and I think for an autistic person it is so much worse because the dating scene, from what I’ve heard, you have to go into a restaurant, you’re meeting someone you don’t know, you’re in a place you might not have been to before,’ the mother-of-three previously said.
‘I don’t drink so I wouldn’t go to a bar but I never really dated so going on dates for me is not something I want to do. I absolutely do not want to go on a date.’
