Molly Marsh’s return to the villa, according to a Love Island fan, might have been handled better.
Last week, the 21-year-old theatrical actor was shockingly ousted from the ITV2 programme after previous participant Kady McDermott made a spectacular comeback and took Zachariah Noble from her.
While there was some doubt over whether her departure from the series was legitimate, Molly subsequently appeared on Aftersun, giving the impression she was gone for good.
However, it was verified in the teaser film at the close of tonight’s episode that Molly is indeed back in the main villa for Casa Amor week.
While many fans were divided about her reappearance, one suggested that the Love Island staff may have lost an opportunity to amp up the atmosphere.
The fan, who goes by @olivialayne6 on TikTok, explained: ‘I feel like they should have put her [Molly] in the villa with the OG girls but have her sat on the pool lounge or something with her back facing the door.
Her idea of what they should’ve done with Molly was so much better than what the producer did #LoveIsland pic.twitter.com/M9mCvvGUlF

‘That gives her the opportunity to meet a new guy and then for the recoupling she walks back into the main villa with a new man on her arm and then the OG boys are shocked.’
She continued: ‘I feel like that would’ve been the real gag because then we get to see Zach’s reaction to her with a new guy.’
It seemed as though Love Island fans everywhere agreed with this person’s alternative, with one person replying: ‘That would have made fantastic TV. Homegirl needs a job ASAP!!’

‘This would have been GENIUS!! What a missed opportunity,’ another added.
Friday’s episode officially kicked off Casa Amor, with worldwide superstar Ne-Yo sending the girls off in style.
‘I have a surprise for you…’ the singer continued, pointing to their ride, which was labelled with ‘Casa VIPs’ on the side ‘that car right there.’
Viewers couldn’t believe the sights, with one even describing them as Bafta-worthy.
‘Having Ne-Yo send the girls to Casa Amor is insane, the producers are in their bag this season,’ one enthused.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘Ne-Yo bringing the girls to Casa Amor, the boys running after them, the lights turning on in Cas Amor, them looking out into the distance at the Casa Amor villa hahahahhaa a cinematic masterpiece.’
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
