Paris Hilton has revealed that she is a mother of two, and that her newborn girl will be named after a famous person.
The 42-year-old American model came to Instagram on Thanksgiving Day to announce the good news, posting a photo of a cute pink baby grow with the name ‘London’.
Paris just announced the birth of her first kid with husband Carter Reum via surrogate, Phoenix, in January.
While she has yet to confirm whether this announcement is of her pregnancy or whether her daughter has arrived into the world, she was flooded with congratulatory messages after captioning the image: ‘Thankful for my baby girl.’
Naomi Campbell wrote ‘Congratulations @parishilton and welcome London,’ while Paris’ aunt and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards shared some pink hearts.
‘PARIS AND LONDON. ICONS,’ one fan wrote.
Among the photographs from her Thanksgiving celebrations posted to her Instagram Story, Paris included a photo of Phoenix captioned, ‘The big brother.’
In an earlier post, she had written that she was ‘so grateful for this beautiful life’, saying: ‘This year has brought so many amazing blessings, the most incredible being becoming a mom.🥰
‘I am truly so thankful to be surrounded by such an incredible family, supportive friends and a loving husband.😍 To many more years of love and thanks! 🍁’
Paris had previously stated that she has always wished for a daughter called London.
Speaking on a This is Paris podcast titled ‘This is… I’m Pregnant??’ before she had her son, she said: ‘One day I want to have a little girl, and I want to name her London.
‘That’s always been my dream ever since I was a little girl, because I just love London and Paris together.
‘For a boy, I want to name him after a city or a country or a state as well. I have a name, but I’m not going to say it yet – I want to keep it a surprise, and I don’t want anyone stealing my baby name for that one. I’ve said London for a long time so I can’t really hide that one now.’
When she revealed Phoenix’s name, she said she had picked a name that would suit London.
Speaking on her podcast, the Stars Are Blind hitmaker revealed an excerpt from her upcoming memoir Paris, which read: ‘If all goes well, by the time you read this, Carter and I will have a baby boy.
‘We plan to name him Phoenix, a name that I decided on years ago when I was searching cities, countries and states on a map looking for something to go with Paris and London.
‘Phoenix has a few good pop culture reference points, but more importantly, it’s the bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again.
‘I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives. And that this should give us great hope for the future.’
