Peter Andre and Katie Price have been at differences since their divorce, but her mother’s book has reportedly angered the 50-year-old and his new wife.
Back in 2005, the exes had the wedding of the century, with Katie wearing a pink fluffy gown that is now covered with rat droppings.
They divorced after four years of marriage but co-parent two children, Princess, 16, and Junior, 18.
According to a source, Peter is ‘contemplating legal action’ against his ex-mother-in-law Amy Price over statements she made in her book.
Amy, 71, has published a candid book titled The Last Word about her life as the mother of former glamour model Katie, 45.
This also touches on her daughter’s relationship with Peter, who appears to be ‘upset’ by the book’s contents.
‘Pete’s considering legal action. He just doesn’t understand why his name keeps being mentioned – it was a long time ago,’ a source told OK.
‘This shouldn’t be allowed to happen again and is upsetting for him and Emily.’
Peter has been married to his now-wife Emily, a doctor, since 2012, and the couple has two children together.
They appear to be quite happy together, with Emily describing him as the “loveliest dad” to their two children and his children with Katie.
‘His children are grown-up and he’s extremely happy. Katie and her family should just move on and forget about him,’ the source added.
‘There’s no reason for it to be brought up again.’
If accurate, this would not be the father-of-four’s first legal action against his ex and her family.
Katie claimed the Mysterious Girl singer of initiating a smear campaign against her in 2015, the same year he married Emily.
Katie claimed in a three-year court fight that Peter and his agent Claire Powell released confidential material and harmed her image.
Katie settled the case by agreeing to pay her ex’s and his manager’s legal fees.
Previously, during an interview, Katie blasted the singer for not being faithful or caring for Harvey, for which Peter sued her for slander.
The court decided in his favour, and the model was ordered to publicly apologise and pay compensation.
Katie was recently in court being questioned about her money after declaring bankruptcy, aside from her turmoil with her ex-husband.
She has endorsed her mum’s book by posting it on Instagram, writing: ‘The Last Word by my mum Amy Price! Setting the record straight!’
Her support hasn’t taken her out of her mum’s firing line though as while on This Morning Amy declared Katie’s boobs were ‘ridiculous’.
