Pixie Lott has revealed that she and Oliver Cheshire are expecting their first child, and the couple couldn’t be happier.
On Wednesday, the 32-year-old singer revealed many shots of her baby belly with her hubby, 35, as well as scan images on Instagram.
‘We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and cannot wait to start a family of our own ❤️,’ she wrote in the caption.
The soon-to-be parents married in a lavish ceremony in Cambridgeshire in June, and it’s safe to say their marriage is going swimmingly.
Pixie and model Oliver have been dating since 2010 after meeting at an event, and he proposed in November 2016 at St Paul’s Cathedral.
They were supposed to marry sooner, but due to many delays caused by the epidemic, it took them six years to walk down the aisle.
Victoria Louise Lott, the pop star’s true name, also published an article for Vogue.co.uk, spilling the beans on her pregnancy and saying that she is pretty far along and due in September.
‘I was approaching the 28-week mark by the time we celebrated our first anniversary on 6 June, and we just feel very lucky that it’s all working out.’
The Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) hitmaker also stated that she would not have a gender reveal party for her bundle of joy, but that they already know whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.
She also stated that she is’really inspired’ by Rihanna, who combines motherhood and work, and that she is eager to continue working, especially with new songs on the way.
‘I know I’m very lucky with family and particularly my mum and dad, they’ll be very hands-on,’ she wrote.
‘Ideally I’d love to bring the little bubba with me everywhere I go, and keep working and keep having adventures. When I see someone like Rihanna continuing to perform while pregnant, I find it really inspiring.
‘There are some amazing women out there doing it – it’s definitely possible. Of course, I haven’t entered the newborn stage – they call it the fourth trimester – when you don’t get much sleep. I’m very aware I might feel differently then.’
Joey Essex was among the celebrities who congratulated the couple on their beautiful announcement post: ‘CONGRATS GUYS.’
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards was super-enthused, writing: ‘Oh my goodnessss! Congratulations babe this is amazing news.’
Music artists Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Nicola Roberts were also overjoyed, as were Towie stars Gemma Collins and James ‘Arg’ Argent, and Laura Whitmore, among many others.
