Sam Asghari has debunked allegations that he and Britney Spears are no longer together, and has verified that their relationship is over.
This follows allegations that he filed for divorce after only 14 months of marriage.
Taking to Instagram, Sam wrote: ‘After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.
‘We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.’
He concluded: ‘S**t happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.’
Last year, the couple married in a star-studded ceremony, and he supported her during her conservatorship struggle.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Sam, 29, had filed for divorce, claiming ‘irreconcilable disagreements’ with the Toxic hitmaker, 41.
Rumours about the issue have subsequently surfaced, including allegations of adultery and Sam’s dissatisfaction with the prenup he originally signed.
According to a dissolution of marriage case filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by the BBC, Sam has requested that Britney pay spousal maintenance and solicitors’ expenses.
After getting engaged in September, the pair married on June 9 at Britney’s Thousand Oaks home in front of a celebrity-packed guest list that included Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, and Madonna.
Sam recently marked their milestone first anniversary on Instagram with a photo showing off their wedding rings, alongside the message: ‘Happy 1 year to me & my better half.’
He also uploaded a video montage of their big day, with the caption: ‘One year married to the woman of my dreams.
‘Happy anniversary my love.’
Britney has yet to comment on their split, however she did make a cryptic message about ‘purchasing a horse’ on Thursday.
