Sam Smith demonstrated that they were unfazed by the criticism directed their way by posting explicit photos to Instagram in which they sported breast covers in the shape of a heart.
The vocalist, who is 30 years old, has been subjected to a barrage of criticism ever since they unveiled a suggestive music video for their most recent song, titled “I’m Not Here to Make Friends,” the previous week.
Due to the allegedly improper nature of the clip, some people have advocated for it to be restricted from viewing by those of a certain age on networks such as YouTube.
The star firmly hit back at nay-sayers by uploading a shocking collection of shirtless photographs that portrayed the pop superstar in glittering black nipple covers. He did this without actually saying anything, which was his way of expressing everything without actually saying anything.
For the photo, Sam wore a pair of black pants with a high waist and accessorised with pearls. The caption for the image consisted of a single black love heart.
The Unholy artist, who were seen dancing in the song video with other performers who were all clad in lace corsets, nipple tassels, and suspenders, appeared to blow off any issue that may have been surrounding the music video.

In response to the criticism, the chart topper’s devoted followers flooded the comment area of the post to offer their support.
One penned: ‘Why people feel the need to comment on what Sam is doing or not doing I’ll never know. They are living their life and they’re clearly happy….leave them alone and get on with your own lives [sic].’
Another stated: ‘Don’t listen to the hater’s or the bad critics, actually you’re not here to make friends [sic].’
‘People can’t handle queer and body acceptance that isn’t the norm. You carry yourself well babes [sic],’ was an Instagram user’s response to the pictures.
Sam received critical response on the video portions that showed dancers slowly thrusting on a bed while wearing just black leather underwear. Later in the video, Sam shot dancers surrounding the non-binary megastar while dancing in a sexual fashion.
Viewers commented on Twitter: ‘It is vulgar… Sam Smith has a great voice, but his video is offensive. I certainly don’t want my child to see it.. [sic]’ and ‘It’s time for standards to be raised regarding pop videos. So many of them are no more than porn, soft or otherwise. What are these people trying to do to our children?’
In spite of the unfavourable reception the video received at first, many people have pointed out that its themes are not all that unlike to those explored in videos by other popular artists like Madonna and Miley Cyrus.
