The viewers of Love Island have recently shown their appreciation to Shaq Muhammad for the manner in which he dealt with the conflict that occurred on Tuesday’s episode.
After Tom Clare’s secret kiss with Ellie Spence was disclosed to the rest of the villa, he was met with a few confrontations from his fellow islanders. For those of you who need to catch up, here is some information to help you out.
Ellie had confided in farmer Will Young earlier in the day, and Will had subsequently shared the information with Tanya Mahenga, who then shared it with Zara Lackenby-Brown, who eventually shared it with Olivia Hawkins.
We are struggling to keep up!
The truth was eventually revealed to everyone in the home, and while Olivia’s outburst at Tom left her in tears, he eventually found himself in the same position as the rest of the lads in the house.
Tom had promised the lads that nothing had transpired after his private kiss with Ellie, so when they found out he’d lied to them, they weren’t overly shocked. In fact, they didn’t seem too surprised.

After Olivia had addressed Tom, Shaq approached Tom and said, “You’ve got to start being honest, buddy.” Shaq did this after Tom had been confronted by Olivia.
He continued: ‘Don’t say it’s only a kiss, you can’t say it’s only a kiss, when you’re telling all the boys that you see Ellie as only a friend.
‘If you’ve kissed Ellie, and then, you don’t feel that towards her, do you know what? Sometimes you’ve got to be clear.’
Tom shrugged off his comments and told Shaq that he hadn’t heard the complete story, but Shaq didn’t hold back in saying it like it is. Tom brushed off his comments and told Shaq that he hadn’t heard the full story.

‘At the end of the day, someone’s going to get hurt, so if you say to her straight up, “Listen, I know we kissed the other day but for me I get more friends vibes from you,” then yeah she’ll be upset but she knows where she stands.
‘If you carry on like without saying it, and giving her vibes, and obviously you’ve got a situation with Liv and now Samie’s coming in and you like her as well, it’s not really fair bro.’
‘I’m not playing anyone bro,’ Tom protested, to which Shaq replied: ‘I haven’t once said you’re playing anyone.’
The audience members adored it when Shaq called Tom out on his behaviour, and several of them pointed out that he appeared to be the only boy to do so.
‘Nah give Shaq that £50k now for the fact he’s holding all these men accountable for their actions,’ one person wrote.
Another penned: ‘Shaq is the first and only man I’ve ever seen on this show regularly and consistently call out other men for their toxic or misogynist behaviour towards women. The women in his life did good.’
‘Not Shaq being the voice of reason for these men this season,’ someone else wrote, while another commented: ‘Big up Shaq for holding all the guys accountable, a good egg’.
Someone else echoed: ‘Yesss Shaq, we love a king who understands women and puts the men in their place’.
Love Island continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2.
