Katie Price is no stranger to pregnancy; she has five children, but her first kid, Harvey, was quite traumatic.
The 45-year-old reality actress’s love life has never been out of the limelight, from messaging a MAFS actor to her terrible divorce with Carl Woods.
She has, however, been lauded for her commitment to her oldest son, who is now 21 and lives with septo-optic dysplasia, autism, and Prader-Willi syndrome.
The former beauty model was just 24 when she gave birth to Harvey, who was two and a half weeks late and required medical attention.
Katie stated that doctors had to burst her waters because she was screaming and being held down, forcing her labour to begin.
‘All I can say is it was like a knitting need hook and they were literally going pull and pop,’ she graphically revealed to her sister Sophie on the Katie Price Podcast.
Never one to spare details, Katie added: ‘When I say I thought my eyeballs were gonna come out of my eyes like gobstoppers, I’m not joking.
‘I remember looking at mum and Sally as if they were holding me down as a hostage because you know I can’t bear anything like that. Oh my God, it hurt. I was looking at mum like, “Help me! Help me!”’
Harvey’s birth was fully recorded, since his father, Dwight Yorke, demanded a paternity test, which came back positive.
The 51-year-old player and Katie had a brief relationship, and while he attended the birth, he has seen little of his kid since.
Katie earlier stated that Dwight refused to enter the room and cut the umbilical chord, so her father did it instead.She then revealed she had given birth squatting, adding: ‘All I will describe it is like the ring of fire. The noises I was making, I swear I had a family of wolves in me.’
According to the OnlyFans star, Harvey was an incredibly easy baby to look after – which she later realised was due to his disablities.
‘He literally came everywhere we me, to work, to friend’s houses, if people came round mine we would all just get Harvey up. He was there,’ Katie continued.
‘He was the easiest baby, but he was only easy because he couldn’t see and I didn’t know about all his complications. He used to just sit there and drink a lot.
‘He always used to be in the bed with me because he drank a lot and now I know it’s because of his diabetes. But Harvey Bear, I have had no aggravation from any dad, it’s been me and my Harvey Price, me and my man.’
Katie is also the mother to Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, who she shares with 90s music legend Peter Andre, as well as Jett, 10, and Bunny, nine, with Kieran Hayler.
