Alongside a series of loved-up snaps of herself and Jonathan, 27, Simone wrote on Instagram this weekend: ‘I do. Officially Owens.’
The seven-time Olympian’s new spouse gushed, “Wifey got a great ring to it,” beneath her post. The first day of forever.
John Legend, G-Eazy, and Normani, among others, showered Simone with love right away.
Simone published a picture of herself and Jonathan clutching what seemed to be a Texas marriage licence just days before she posted pictures of herself wearing a lovely wedding dress.
She captioned that post: ‘Almost time to say “I do”.’
After over two years of dating, the happy pair announced their engagement back in February 2022.
The Houston Texans player proposed to Simone in a series of images that she posted on Instagram to share the good news.
‘THE EASIEST YES,’ she wrote beside the upload – in which she could be seen showing off her huge diamond and giving the NFL star a kiss.
‘I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more!
Just before the worldwide pandemic in 2020, Simone and Jonathan began dating. Since then, they’ve been posting adorable pictures on social media.
The gold medallist earlier said that she sneaked into his DMs because she thought he was beautiful in a conversation with the Wall Street Journal about their developing affair.
‘He would say I slid into his DMs,’ she said in the candid chat. ‘I saw him and I was like, “Oh, he’s pretty cute,” so I said hi.
‘And then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.’
