Katy Perry has reportedly ‘rattled’ American Idol producers with her ‘rude’ comments about the candidates.
The 38-year-old Wide Awake singer is now hosting Series 21 of the famous US talent show alongside judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, who are putting superstar aspirants to the test.
Katy’s actions throughout the audition process sparked outrage among fans as a hopeful revealed that she had three children at the age of 25.
‘Honey, you’ve been laying on the table too much!’ the Part of Me singer responded.
‘Boo to Katy Perry for mom shaming Sara Beth. Insinuating that she has been “laying on the table too much” to have 3 kids by age 25. A young mother following a dream while raising her children should be raised up not put down,’ one person wrote.
Another penned: ‘I just wish @katyperry wouldn’t have been so nasty to her. She was rude and kept on and on about it until Sara left! She is a little too much at times!’

According to sources, programme executives are not pleased with the TV personality’s remarks.
An insider told Radar: ‘Producers are so rattled by Katy’s behaviour they’re considering replacing her to keep the audience happy.’
The singer recently received backlash from viewers after excessively taunting American Idol candidates in order to add drama to the ABC show.
She told one talented performer Nutsa Buzaladze: ‘We have really appreciated you being in this competition and we did not put you in the Top 24.’
An uproar Nutsa told the judge it was “okay,” before prankster Katy added, ‘You put yourself in that top 24. Nutsa, your tremendous ability has vaulted you into the top 24!’
A confused Nutsa naturally needed some further explanation, which Katy provided telling her: ‘We didn’t put you in there, you did. As confusing as it seems you’re going to the top 24!’
One fan tweeted in response: ‘If they didn’t have trauma before, they do now with @katyperry delivering top 24 news. Lol.’
Another added: ‘Is it just me or does it bug anyone else that Katy Perry keeps trolling people about whether they made it to the top 24 or not? I feel it’s cruel to make them think they aren’t going through….. and then say, Yeah, you made it!’
American Idol airs on Sundays and Mondays at 8pm ET on ABC.
