Sir Rod Stewart has posted charming photos of his first meeting with his two new grandkids.
The adoring grandpa, 78, is the father of four sons and four daughters, but grandfather to only one grandchild, Delilah, 11, until last month.
Sir Rod’s family has increased in the previous several weeks, and in today’s gorgeous photos, he couldn’t help but smile.
Ruby, Rod’s 35-year-old daughter, gave birth to her first child, Oti Stewart Kalick, on Tuesday, May 9.
Just a few days later, on May 12, Rod’s son Liam, 28, announced the birth of their first child, Louie.
Little Louie has a wonderful connection to Sir Rod, since the newborn is named after the rock icon: Louie Mark Roderick Stewart.
Sir Rod captioned heartwarming Instagram photos, ‘Happy Grandad.’
One photo shows him holding Louie on an armchair, while another shows him posing with Otis, beaming at the camera as he holds him.
This latest addition to the Lancaster family comes 15 years after Sir Rod and Penny Lancaster, 52, reaffirmed their wedding vows.
Not the first time the couple felt the urge to reaffirm their vows, the couple chose the unique ceremony to commemorate their 10th wedding anniversary back in 2017.
A friend close to the family shared to Women’s Day magazine: ‘There’s a very good reason why Rod’s insisted he space out his tour dates – it’s the perfect place and the perfect time to renew their wedding vows.
‘Now they can’t wait and are using this chance to do something special while here.
‘Penny and Rod love being in love.
‘They think there’s something fun about celebrating their vows in different locations around the world, so why not do it all again in Sydney!’
