Stacey Solomon was ’embarrassed’ after her kids had a breakdown in a shop.
However, the mother of five was ‘grateful’ to see how many strangers gave her assistance as she dealt with three little children acting like – well, children.
The 34-year-old TV personality and influencer is the mother to Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 12, from previous marriages, as well as Rex, five, Rose, two, and nine-month-old Belle with husband Joe Swash.
And, while Stacey frequently uploads video of her children on social media, she, like most parents, selects periods when they are at their best.
However, the former Queen of the Jungle recounted a very genuine event on Saturday, claiming that her children threw the ultimate tantrum when she was at a store.
Stacey took to Instagram Stories and recorded a video of herself sitting on the floor, thanking the ‘three individuals’ who attempted to help her as her children were having a tantrum.
‘I had a bit of a challenging supermarket trip,’ she admitted with a laugh.
‘I had to go and pick up my nephew’s presents for his party, and I went with all the kids because Joe’s not here.
‘Obviously, they were like “I want a present!” and I was like, “Er, no, it’s not your birthday, sorry.”‘
Unfortunately, Stacey putting her foot down meant ‘all Hell broke loose.’
‘I was trying to carry my nephew’s presents, the bags, the boxes, run after one child, hold another one that was screaming, and about three people offered me help.
‘I was so grateful – when you’re in those situations and you’re a bit flustered and a bit embarrassed, it’s really nice when people are helpful so I just want to say thank you. Just in case you’re watching and you thought “Did she make it home alive?”‘
She added that she was sorry she declined the offer of help, saying she wanted to say yes but was ‘really embarrassed and flustered, but thank you.’
It follows another ‘horror’ day Stacey had recently with her kids, however this time she was forced to stay out at a bar at 10 a.m. with her two girls after her car broke down.
‘I was on my last school run of the day, Rosie Posey, and my tyre blew so I literally crawled into this pub car park,’ she said in an Instagram video.
Fortunately, the bar owner took pity on her as she waited for a repair van and allowed her in, opening early for the celebrity.
She wrote: ‘The lovely lady in the pub has let us wait inside. Belle is about as happy as I am about it.’
Belle was delightfully beaming at the table, while Rose was staring at the table, her gaze fixed on something invisible.
The mother shared an update two hours later, showing her car, which was now tyre-free and being fixed.
Rose eventually made it to school, and Stacey and Belle returned home after a stressful morning.
