For weeks, rumours have circulated that Britney Spears will perform at Glastonbury Festival, however this does not appear to be the case.
We regret to inform you that the Toxic hitmaker will not be visiting Worthy Farm.
For a long time, fans have speculated that Britney, 41, may appear as a surprise guest with Sir Elton John, 76, who is headlining the event as part of his Farewell Tour.
Last year, the music legends teamed on Hold Me Closer, Britney’s first single since her 13-year conservatorship ended.
And, with Sir Elton hinting at four possible special guests for his show, it’s not out of the question that Brit may be one of them.
She isn’t wearing wellies or a jacket right now because she is on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with husband Sam Asghari, 29.
Taking to Instagram, the Gimme More singer strutted her thing on a beautiful beach while wearing a bright yellow bikini.
With Sting’s Fields of Gold playing in the background, Brit looks happy than ever in the video she posted with her 42.1 million followers.
The singer frolics in the surf, pulling her swimsuit bottoms down low as she puts her tongue out and poses.
She kneels in the surf as the waves crash around her, having seemingly chosen the ideal moment for sunbathing with no one else on the beach in sight.
Britney also covers her eyes with large sunglasses and a stylish brown sunhat.
Her current mood is essentially the polar opposite of Glastonbury, so unless she’s attempting to mislead us, it doesn’t appear like we’ll be seeing her on stage anytime soon.
Britney has lately taken a number of vacations, as well as went to assist her sister at work.
The American singer recently stated that she and her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears have reconciled after a long fight.
‘It was lovely to see my sister on set last week!!!’ she posted on Instagram, following a video of her and Sam flirting on a boat.
‘I’ve missed you guys so much !!! Loyal girls stay home but it’s so nice to visit family 😌 !!!’
Jamie, 32, has been filming for the Paramount+ film revival Zoey 102. His relationship with Britney has had its ups and downs in recent years.
Meanwhile, Sir Elton is preparing to headline for the first time in Glasgow.
The Your Song singer has told fans that they are in for a pleasure, equating performing at the Somerset festival to, well, having sex?
‘It’s a different show to what people have been seeing’ he told BBC Radio 1.
‘On Farewell Yellow Brick Road, there’s quite a lot of deep cuts, it’s not all hits, and you’ve got to keep people interested.
‘When you put a setlist together, I always say it’s a bit like having sex. You start off really well, then you chill out a little bit, then towards the end of the show all hell breaks loose.’
Sir Elton will perform at Glastonbury on Sunday (June 25), with Guns N’ Roses, Lana Del Rey, and Arctic Monkeys, assuming Alex Turner recovers from his sickness in time.
