A lady was arrested for trespassing on Taylor Swift’s property.
A 54-year-old man was held at the US singer’s opulent Rhode Island estate, where he had been taking a vacation between tour dates.
Images acquired by TMZ show a lady in handcuffs at the gates, where signs say “Private property” and “No Trespassing.”
Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella told the magazine that officers were dispatched to the estate on Monday afternoon after receiving complaints of a trespasser.
According to reports, the woman in issue had previously been told to keep away from Taylor’s property.
The lady was charged with one misdemeanour count of trespassing, according to court papers.
She was freed from detention, but she is scheduled to appear in court on July 14.
It’s unclear who contacted the cops, but witnesses say Taylor’s private security team asked her to leave, but she refused.
A source familiar with the situation also told TMZ that, while Taylor was enjoying a holiday weekend at her luxurious abode, it’s not clear whether she was actually home at the time of the incident.
Taylor, 33, gave her fans a glimpse inside her Fourth of July celebrations earlier today with a series of joyous polaroid snaps shared to social media.
Taylor looked radiant as she posed with friends, including longtime bestie Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters.

And, as is typical of Taylor, the caption she wrote seemed to have a double meaning.
Writing on Twitter following recent rumours surrounding her love life, she said: ‘Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighbourhood independent girlies 😎’
Ahead of picking her Eras Tour back up, she added to excitable Swifties: ‘See you tonight Kansas Cityyy’.
Following reports that Taylor was rekindling her affair with The 1975’s Matty Healy, Haim re-posted the photographs with the caption:’single summer,’ implying Ms Swift is more than content as a free, independent woman.

Swifties in the UK, on the other hand, are sweating for a totally different reason: it’s almost ticket sale time.
Following the addition of 14 more dates to the European leg of her Eras Tour, the Shake It Off hitmaker’s fans are preparing to go to battle next week in the hopes of obtaining a seat at one of her 2024 gigs.
Pre-sale access is presently only available to those who pre-ordered Taylor’s most recent album, Midnights, with access credentials already mailed out.
If you haven’t already gotten the information, keep a check on your emails (and spam folder!).
Only a small number of randomly selected registrants will be able to access the ticket sale later this month, while everyone else will be placed on a waiting list.
If you’re lucky, you’ll receive an access code through email from either Ticketmaster or AXS, allowing you to access ticket sales for the city you’ve registered for.
Tickets are also available on other days and times, depending on the shows you want to see.
By Friday, July 14, you should have received an email telling you of your fate.
