World Coffee Day is almost approaching, and Ben & Jerry’s has recently introduced a new flavour of ice cream to commemorate the event.
Yes, our tongues are watering at the prospect of a new favourite container to reach for on the way to the grocery.
Furthermore, the ‘taste Gurus’ at Ben & Jerry’s have given us the ultimate scoop, claiming that the new taste produces the ideal Affogato (an Italian dessert in which hot coffee is poured over ice cream).
So, what’s the new choice, you ask? The fresh new tub available is Caramel Café.
It’s a nondairy caramel coffee ice cream with caramel biscuit bits and a marshmallow swirl, topped with a creamy whipped topping, caramel sauce, and chocolate chunks.
When you summon up the guts to go grocery shopping, you can have it for just £5.50.
If you want to make an Affogato, simply pour a thick, velvety espresso over a scoop (or five) of Caramel Café and enjoy.
If you want precise measures, mix 120g of ice cream with 2oz of hot espresso.
And there you have it.
So what are you waiting for? Try it for yourself.
