Hot Girl Summer may officially be over, but with the changing of the seasons comes a new, cosier aesthetic; cabincore.
Similar to cottagecore, the trend romanticises a more natural way of life, evoking snug cabins nestled in the woods.
The cabincore hashtag boasts over 48 million views on TikTok, and we’re seeing autumnal interiors creeping into stores, suggesting it’s going to be a big hitter as the months become cooler.
Denise Stentiford, Designer at DCUK, says the interiors look is typified by ‘natural and raw fibres’ like wool, rattan, and wood, along with an outdoors-in feel.
She adds: ‘Incorporate wildlife motifs that can be displayed through ornamental models and accessories, animal prints that can be brought into the space through artwork and fabrics or even more practical re-purposed furniture like an antler coat rack or candelabra…
‘With neutrals likely to be acting as the main backdrop, bring the cosy look to life with pops of burnt orange and maroon as well as lighter accents of saffron and juniper.’
The best part of cabincore is that, although it’s becoming a more popular way to decorate your home, the rustic pieces that suit the decor are timeless and easy to restyle if you fancy a change.
So with that, we’ve rounded up our favourite buys to add a warm, homey, cabin-like feel to your space.
