Valentine’s Day is usually a great day for couples, but do you know what to do this year?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Why not dine out this year instead of sticking to supermarket set menus? From Valentine’s Day special meals, such as the ‘Hey Lover’ dessert at Dirty Bones, to a set menu with live music at a coastal café.
All you have to do is choose whatever one appeals to you the most and book it.
Let’s see which eateries are spreading the love on Valentine’s Day.
Get Dirty

Dirty Bones, an American-style restaurant and cocktail bar, has introduced a handful of new Valentine’s Day specials. The ‘Hey Lover’ dessert is meant to be shared and includes waffles, ice cream, strawberry bits, freeze-dried strawberries, and white chocolate pieces and sauce.
And you must try the Swipe Right drink, which is created with Biscoff syrup, vanilla vodka, banana liqueur, Kahla, and milk and is smooth and appealing. It will be accessible from February 10 to 17 in downtown London and Oxford.
By the sea

Seduced by the sounds of the sea, Rockwater in Hove is providing a special Valentine’s Day menu to couples seeking romance. The oceanfront restaurant will have live music, a menu of 10 shared meals, breathtaking rooftop views, and comfortable fireside beverages.
Brown butter scallops, pickled shimeji fish, and slow-roasted beef short rib are among the dishes available, as are vegan alternatives. The fee per pair is £100, which includes a glass of fizz upon arrival.
Pearls of joy

What could be more attractive on Valentine’s Day than an aphrodisiac? STK Steakhouses in London are offering an unique Bubble & Pearls special, which includes a glass of Dom Pérignon champagne and an oyster topped with the best caviar (£69pp, available February 10-14).
Following that, order a top steak, ranging from sirloin to rib-eye, or roasted lobster tail, black fish, and mushroom and truffle pasta. With vodka, strawberry purée, lemon juice, and sugar syrup, make a strawberry cobbler drink.
Spinning around

The Ivy in Manchester’s Spinningfields offers a wonderful three-course set meal. Following a glass of Veuve Clicquot rosé champagne, select from duck liver parfait, lobster linguine, grass-fed fillet of beef, or char-grilled halloumi with farro. Finish with the luscious raspberry heart mille-feuille, a delectable combination of white chocolate and puff pastry topped with a warm raspberry sauce. It is offered from 10 to 19 February for £75 per person.
