Fancy adding a bit of spice to your Christmas feasting?
Nando’s has released its festive menu for the year, and it’s packed with seasonal favourites given a tangy twist.
The menu, available in all restaurants across the UK and Ireland, has plenty for chicken fanatics to enjoy, from a limited-edition spice, maple and orange, to returning favourite peri-peri gravy.
The maple and orange spice combines sweetness with citrus elements, pairing well with Nando’s staples and festive options alike and offering a chance to change up your usual order.
Available for a limited time only, the new seasoning will be added as ‘Medium’ to the chain’s iconic peri-ometer, best suited to fans of specials like peri-tamer, garlic BBQ or last Christmas’s spiced clementine.
After being introduced in 2018, peri gravy has become the side of choice for Nando’s aficionados at this time of year, so of course it’s back for 2022.
Described as ‘rich and warming, with fiery, herby notes,’ the gravy features the restaurant’s signature chilli kick – perfect for when you want a winter warmer with a difference.
The most controversial Christmas side dish has also made its way onto the Nando’s seasonal menu; sprouts.
A spin on the ever-popular macho peas, macho sprouts are shredded versions of the love-or-hate vegetable, with mint, parsley and chilli to boost their earthy, slightly sweet flavour.
Items from the Christmas menu are now on sale at your local Nando’s, available for eat-in, takeaway, or delivery.
The chicken chain isn’t the only one getting in the spirit either, as Greggs recently announced the return of its iconic festive bake.
Pret also revealed what’s on its Christmas menu this time round, from a Boxing Day toastie to a lattes infused with praline and cream.
Christmas may be a fair few weeks away yet, but your stomach never need know.
