For anyone still wondering if Chris Hemsworth is worthy of his superhero title as Thor, his Thor: Love and Thunder co-star Natalie Portman has confirmed that he remains one for the nicest men in Hollywood.
Celebrating the release of the latest Marvel film, which saw Black Swan Oscar-winner Natalie bulk up as her character Jane Foster transformed into Mighty Thor, the actress revealed a very sweet gesture her co-star had made towards her.
Chris may have to inhale plenty of protein in his mission to remain in superhero shape, but he was aware that Natalie doesn’t eat meat.
She explained: ‘The day we had a kiss scene he didn’t eat meat that morning, because I’m vegan. And he eats meat like every half hour.’
Natalie confirmed that it wasn’t something she had requested of the Marvel star either, he had just quietly made the decision himself.
‘That’s not something I’m angry about or care about, but he was just being thoughtful. He’s just a very nice person,’ she told Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp.

She appeared alongside co-star Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie, and was shocked to hear the story as she joked: ‘I didn’t even know he could go without eating meat. He’s just like eating bison in the morning. That’s so sweet.’
Natalie has been vegan since 2011, after years of vegetarianism. While vegetarian diets don’t include meat, vegan diets also avoid animal products too, ncluding dairy, eggs and honey.
Natalie’s trainer, Naomi Pendergast recently spoke with Metro.co.uk, revealing what it took for the actress to achieve her Mighty Thor goals as she hit the gym five days a week for a period of 10 months.
Praising her as ‘a really hard worker’, Naomi added: ‘She was focused and determined to reach her goals. During filming we trained at 5am every morning before she was on set all day, this was tough on her body. I was extremely impressed with her training during this period as most mornings she was coming off the back of a long day.’
