In light of the thrilling cliffhanger, Vin Diesel has unveiled the release date of Fast X Part 2.
The Fast and Furious series was initially intended to conclude with the 11th film, leaving fans in suspense about when the final chapter will be unveiled.
On Instagram, 55-year-old Diesel, the actor playing Dominic Toretto, announced that the following part will hit cinemas on April 4, 2025, signifying a lengthy anticipation period.
In his most recent tweet, he also tackled speculations of having a secretive discord with Jason Momoa, a new addition to the cast playing the spotlight-stealing villain Dante.
‘The date is set for April 4th 2025… which is less than 22 months away,’ he posted, attaching a photograph of himself and Jason from the sets. ‘I am touched by the openness and collaboration all actors in our franchise bring to the World’s Saga.
‘Jason strived for something entirely distinct and extraordinary, which led to the creation of a conspicuous character that will stay in everyone’s mind.
‘Your continuous support means everything. 7 billion signifies nothing if it doesn’t echo the strong emotions of familial love and loyalty.
‘For those out of the loop, FastX is only the first part, and the second part will involve an uncommon effort from our fast family and studio. All love…’
Fans were delighted with this news and expressed their eagerness for the upcoming movie in the comments below.
A fan commented, ‘It was magical!!! Jason did fantastic! Eagerly waiting for part 2!’
Another echoed the sentiment, ‘X is truly WOAH. Excited for part two. I am literally counting days!!!’
‘Can’t wait for part two. We love you guys so much. It’s gonna be better than part one [sic],’ stated another fan.
This announcement comes after an insider revealed to RadarOnline that Vin was “humiliated” as his co-star was “stealing his limelight” on set.
Although the 11th movie is intended to be the latest in the primary series, fans will continue receiving updates from the Fast and Furious universe. Vin recently confirmed that a franchise with a female lead, along with various other films, are being developed.
He told Variety before, ‘I initiated the development of the female spinoff … in 2017, along with other offshoots.
‘The sooner I can wrap up the finale, the quicker I can initiate the spin-offs.’
Fast X Part 2 is scheduled for release on April 4, 2025.
