Who are the cast members?
Mattel’s iconic blonde Barbie will be portrayed by Margot Robbie, and she’s bringing along a heavy-hitting star support, inclusive of Ryan Gosling as her Ken. Back in June 2021, the Wolf of Wall Street sensation admitted to British Vogue that “It brings a lot of baggage!”
‘However, with such baggage, comes several intriguing aspects to explore. The usual response upon hearing ‘Barbie’ is to assume what the movie would entail. But then, penning and directing the film is Greta Gerwig, and that could make people reconsider…’
Toy company Mattel’s CEO will be portrayed by Will Ferrell. Other cast members include America Ferrera of Ugly Betty, SNL’s Kate McKinnon, Marvel’s Simu Liu, Insecure’s Issa Rae, Ncuti Gatwa who will be the new Doctor Who, Michael Cera, Alexandra Shipp, Hari Nef, Emerald Fennell, and Emma Mackey.
