Machine Gun Kelly’s new tattoos are rather fascinating.
The rapper from the United States is well-known for his tattoos, which cover his whole body. In reality, he had over 90 tattoos, according to reports from last year.
And now that number has risen as the Bloody Valentine hitmaker has revealed the results of what we can only guess was a long and painful time in the chair.
MGK, actual name Colson Baker, has opted to cover up his existing artwork by painting his entire upper chest black.
Yes, even his nipples.
In addition, he has covered the bulk of his arms.
While much of his prior art has been blackened out, the 33-year-old’s colourful tattoos can still be seen via a cross design.
Roxx and Cats, who have over 50 years of combined expertise and specialise in ‘black-work-only’ tattoos, did his most recent ink.
MGK debuted his daring new style on Instagram, sparking quite the sensation with his shirtless photos. Many people were disgusted.
Revealing the reason behind his tattoos, he wrote in his caption: ‘for spiritual purposes only.’
Fans were stunned, to say the least, with bethmcgrogan commenting: ‘I had an emotional attachment to those tats ngl’.
‘MGK is known for his various tattoos and even his Cleveland tattoos. To get that all covered up and go straight black is wild and weird to me’, wrote kabernathy43_.
‘He looks like the villain version of a super hero. Like Spider Man & venom yk?’, wrote mgkvideos.
Clearly unimpressed, chef)cody_904 blasted: ‘Dudes has gotten so weird. Not even a fan anymore smh’.
Others complimented MGK, saying the artwork looks ‘dope’.
Not everyone was convinced, however, and wondered if the black would run off in the shower.
However, reps for Roxx and Cats confirmed to The New York Post: ‘Yes, the tattoo is very permanent.’
MGK’s enormous tattoo collection became well-known for its vibrant designs, the bulk of which openly reflected (or flaunted) his pride in his Cleveland heritage.
He has also worn tattoo that reimagines the iconic works of Banksy and Salvador Dalí.
MGK isn’t the only celebrity showing off some new tattoos these days; his partner Megan Fox also has some eye-catching new tattoos.
The Jennifer’s Body actress, 37, has gotten tattoos for years, many of which are minor and match MGK.
Megan reappeared with a sleeve after a brief hiatus from public life and social media when she and MGK parted up.
Her left arm is covered in complex red-hued flower tattoos, which she got after expressing a desire to cover up some of her older tattoos.
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she told the host: ‘I just got one that I don’t like that I have to rework.’
She sarcastically added: ‘It’s my entire arm, so not a big deal.’
