Michael Clifford, guitarist for 5 Seconds of Summer, stated on Thursday that he and his wife Crystal Leigh had brought a baby girl into the world.
Furthermore, Michael, 28, disclosed the name of his daughter, and many of his admirers were quick to remark how much they adored the nickname.
In his Instagram post, Michael shared a handful of photos of the happy family and wrote: ‘The love of our life has arrived.’
Confirming his little one’s name, the rockstar added: ‘Meet Lua.’
It didn’t take long for the doting dad’s followers to rave about Lua’s name, with Instagrammer Alex Sampson saying: ‘Lua is such a beautiful name oh my gosh congratulations.’
Someone else named Luke added: ‘lua is the cutest name i’ve ever heard omg.’
‘lua is such a pretty name omg,’ echoed Brooke Bell.
Michael and Crystal wed in 2021 and confirmed to People in June that they were set to be parents.
Michael told the outlet: ‘I’m filled with excitement and also with nerves.
‘I’ve been a dog dad for a long time, so I think I’m ready for a small human to take care of and communicate with conversationally after eight years of one-sided dog convos!’
His wife raved: ‘I’m over the moon!
‘Completely overflowing with joy, I have never been this happy in my entire life. I’d like to think it’s the baby’s good vibes and energy radiating through me, but it’s probably just the hormones.’
A month later, the delighted couple revealed they were expecting a girl.
In photos posted online in July, Michael could be seen wearing a blue shirt and a pink beanie cap as he embraced his wife, who was dressed in a pink outfit, as pink smoke surrounding them.
Unable to contain his excitement, the Australian guitarist wrote: ‘I’m gonna be a girl dad.’
‘This was the craziest moment of my life lol,’ Michael added on his Instagram story with a link to TikTok where he shared a video of everyone’s reactions.
