This week, one of the UK’s top singer-songwriters launched a whole new look on social media.
Paolo Nutini, who has three number one albums in the UK, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce a collaboration with the charity War Child to produce some special artwork.
In his latest photo, the 36-year-old hitmaker can be seen seated at a desk signing some colourful masterpieces, but his 344,000 fans appeared more fascinated in the fact that he’s virtually shaved his trademark floppy curls clean off.
People flocked to the comments section to discuss Paolo’s new look, with some claiming they didn’t identify him at all.
One person exclaimed: ‘I almost didn’t recognise you there!’ while another echoed, ‘Wtaf?!?!? Didn’t recognise you!’
Other comments included: ‘YOUR HAIRCUT!!!!!!’, ‘His hair [crying emoji]’ and ‘The trim!’

Of course, the Scottish musician isn’t the only one who has just shaved his head.
Last month, Harry Styles stirred uproar when he went out in a buzz cut, but fans all across the world are missing his curly curls.
The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker’s following was divided, with some stating his new look had ‘ruined their entire existence,’ while others said they were ‘in tears’ and ‘grieving’ the loss of his curls.
The publicity around the former One Directioner’s new haircut made such a fuss that Harry’s mother, Anne Twist, slammed trolls for being cruel about her son’s hair.
Posting a picture of her son on her Instagram page, she also scathingly ‘uncrapped’ a headline about his haircut from ‘Harry Styles fans shocked over shaved head reveal: “Ruined my entire life”‘ to ‘Breaking news: It’s hair! It’s his! Also it will grow back. If he wants.’

In the caption, she wrote: ‘When you consider that H has a legacy of kindness and inclusion, has always made every effort to make everyone feel seen and appreciated for exactly who they are … there’s an irony in the negativity he’s been shown for having a haircut. Sorry but I don’t get it.’
Hear, hear!
