Piers Morgan has reacted to Andrew Tate’s accusation that he gave him Covid.
After acquiring the sickness, the TalkTV host revealed earlier this week that he would have to broadcast his Uncensored show from home.
He posted a photo of his positive test on social media at the time, saying that while he was ‘as harsh as a badger’s a*se,’ he was still moving forward with preparations to lead his show.
However, he was inundated with comments from fervent anti-vaxxers, many of whom he had targeted and questioned their vaccination claims.
Piers, 58, has suddenly found himself in the crosshairs of the infamous 36-year-old influencer, who was arrested last year on rape and human trafficking accusations.
Sharing an old photo of Piers in a hospital bed, Tate captioned his post: ‘Hope the vaccine helps you recover from Covid.’
Piers answered, not wasting his moment to clap back.
‘Thanks for your concern, Andrew. Ironically, if I’d had another covid booster I wouldn’t have caught the damn thing again and wouldn’t be feeling so rough.
‘That’ll teach me for listening to ill-informed anti-vaxx imbeciles on the internet…!
He later posted a photo of Tate standing topless in front of a mirror and joked about his fear of needles.
When asked by a fan if he would fight former boxer Tate, Piers responded he would only do it with “real fighters.”
Unimpressed, Andrew tried to have the final say, claiming that he was the one who made Piers ill.
‘I gave you Covid. I have no vaccines and wore no mask. I did it.’
He added: ‘I of course suffer zero symptoms because I am too sexy and rich.’
The feud between the two men arises after Piers recently interviewed Tate and called him out for making’misogynistic’ remarks about Amanda Holden.
Tate previously remarked on an Instagram photo Amanda posted of herself in a swimsuit.
He said: ‘You are a wife and a mother and youre [sic] far past a teenager. There is no need for this post.’
In their exchange, Piers told Tate Amanda was a ‘very good friend of mine’ and described the photo as ‘harmless’ and ‘extraordinarily beautiful’.
He called Tate’s remark ‘misogynistic,’ with Tate yelling over him – as he did throughout the conversation – ‘it’s not misogynistic.’
Tate then launched into a rant about how over the age of 50, ‘any woman should not be interested in thirst trapping on Instagram.
‘I think she has bigger responsibilities; I am sure she is a very intelligent lady … and I think she could do things more interesting than standing around trying to thirst trap on Instagram like she is 18.’
He went on to claim he wasn’t insulting her and was instead ‘reminding her of her worth, because as a feminist, we all believe in women empowerment’ and that ‘taking your clothes off for men on Instagram is not empowering. Modesty is empowering for a female’.
Uncensored airs weeknights from 8pm on TalkTV.
