A 90s icon’s visit on Britain’s Got Talent devolved into chaos as he fell and later had a tantrum.
You can all breathe a sigh of relief because Mr Blobby will be returning to our televisions on Saturday on the ITV blockbuster series, having initially debuting on the BBC in 1992.
His return to the big time, however, did not go over well with judges Simon Cowell, 63, Amanda Holden, 52, Alesha Dixon, 44, and Bruno Tonioli, 67.
As soon as she sets her gaze on Mr Blobby, Alesha clasps her hands around her neck and lets out a long: ‘No.’
Undaunted, the yellow-spotted figure leaps towards the judges’ panel, tumbling off the stage and scaring Amanda.
‘Are you all right?’ Simon, perplexed, inquires.
Mr Blobby jokes: ‘Mr Blobby is going to hospital.’
The bulbous pink creature then places a massive deck of cards on the tabletop, and Amanda shoots up to choose one from the pack.
Mr Blobby then attempts to predict Amanda’s card, but fails miserably.
To put it mildly, the kids’ symbol is upset that his game did not go as planned and throws the cards in the path.
Simon does not appear amused.
Mr Blobby, who appears on TV shows and causes havoc, sees disruption as simply another day’s work.
He interrupted Carol Vorderman, obstructed the camera, and broke a prop during his appearance on This Morning earlier this year.
Blobby originally featured on Noel Edmonds’ Noel’s House Party before going solo and appearing in the video for Peter Kay’s charity single Is This the Way to Amarillo in 2005.
The role was created by comic writer Charlie Adams and was originally portrayed by Barry Killerby until 2015, when it was replaced by Paul Denson.
Britain’s Got Talent continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
