Alison Hammond gave a funny response on social media to a backhanded praise after hearing that someone had come around to the idea of liking her.
The 48-year-old woman who hosts This Morning first became known to the public in 2002, when she was on the third season of Big Brother.
In the 20 years since then, she’s been on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Strictly Come Dancing, and Celebrity MasterChef. She is also one of the new co-hosts on The Great British Bake Off.
Many people think of her as the ideal beauty, but it looks like there are still some people who don’t like her.
But when one person told Alison that they were now a fan, she had a great reaction.
‘TBH I never really liked Alison Hammond but now I think she’s great,’ someone commented on a video of the presenter shared on the ITV breakfast programme’s page.

Alison then spoke up and talked to the person directly. She said that she wasn’t upset by the comment at all.
‘I’m an acquired taste 😂,’ she quipped.
Many others then let her know how they felt by filling her page with notes about how much they had always loved her.
‘It was love at first sight for me,’ one person shared.
‘I love you on This Morning , especially with Dermot. You bring the sunshine and the laughter. You are fabulous Babs. ❤️Xxx,’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘How could anyone not like Alison…she is like bottled sunshine.’
Someone even called her a “national gem,” which doesn’t seem too far off now that it’s been reported that Alison will have a wax figure made of her.
This week, she shared a picture of her hand in the mould, which is likely one of the first steps in the nine-month process of making her Madame Tussauds figure.
As usual, the host has had a busy week. He also put an end to reports that his friendship with co-host Dermot O’Leary was “strained.”
ITV was quick to say that reports of frostiness were “nonsense,” but Alison took a different approach. She posted a video of herself and Dermot moving to Ronan Keating’s hit song “Life Is a Rollercoaster” on Instagram.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
