Amanda Abbington debuted a new hairstyle only weeks after leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
The 51-year-old Sherlock actor, who quit the programme for ‘personal reasons’ last month after missing a live broadcast due to’medical issues,’ has a pixie cut with a punky side fringe.
Amanda had short blonde hair before the BBC ballroom series, before dyeing it brown for her performances with professional partner Giovanni Pernice, and even donning long hair for one dance.
The Mr Selfridge star showed off her new look on Instagram, sharing a picture of her ‘do and captioning the post: ‘Finally got a haircut… 😳😬.’
Her hair transformation went down a storm with her 140K followers, particularly her fiance Jonathan Goodwin, who wrote: ‘I’m so lucky.’
Strictly’s Ellie Leach also admired Amanda’s edgy hairstyle, sharing: ‘Erm obsessed ???? 🔥🔥🔥.’

Dawn French, another comedy icon, agreed, writing simply, ‘YES INDEEDY.’
According to sources, Amanda has no intentions to return to Strictly, not even for the finale, in which all of the ousted contestants link up with their partner for one final dance.
The BBC was claimed to be desperate for Amanda and Giovanni to dance together again to establish there was ‘no ill blood’ between the two after allegations of a ‘feud’ surfaced – but she declined the invitation.
The Doc Martin singer has previously denied any animosity, while Giovanni wrote a sweet message on Instagram with a photo of them onstage after she resigned.
‘Amanda .. I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love,’ he simply wrote.
She later revealed why she had quit the BBC One competition, writing: ‘It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly.
‘I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue.
‘It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside.
‘I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful bunch of people and I’ll miss all of them.’
Amanda concluded: ‘I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx’
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and iPlayer at 7.25pm on Saturday.
