Amy Dowden’s emotions were improved after spending time with her former Strictly Come Dancing partner Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna Fletcher.
The 32-year-old woman was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, and physicians just discovered more tumours.
Amy saw her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars before travelling to the Fletcher family to finish her therapy.
Dowden recounted what they got up to during their reunion as the trio posed for cheerful pictures.
‘Chats, tea, biscuits, chickens, hide and seek and a rrrrrrrreally good catch up which was soooooo needed!’ she began.
‘Thank you @tomfletcher @mrsgifletcher 💖 Had the perfect day ahead of the next journey which begins tomorrow. Thank you so much.’

Amy first appeared on Strictly in 2017, and in 2021 she was paired with McFly bandmate Tom. The couple rapidly became close, which extended to their separate families. Tom, 38, even sang at Amy’s wedding to Ben Jones last year.
Giovanna, also 38, also gave further insight into their friends’ day. ‘It’s always a pleasure to be in @amy_dowden’s company and hear her infectious laughter. So much to catch up on and love to share.’
Giovanna was instrumental in Amy’s cancer detection since she began inspecting her breast for lumps after participating in the CoppaTrek! – a 100km trek conducted by a friend to raise money for breast cancer organisations.
‘CoppaFeel! has now potentially saved my life, because I don’t know how long this lump could have been there before I would have noticed and done something about it,’ she previously explained to Hello magazine.

Amy is already planning to participate in the charity journey next year, according to Giovanna, leaving her feeling “very pleased.”
‘We love you, Amy. Sending strength for this next chapter,’ Giovanna concluded her Instagram caption.
Tom echoed her sentiments writing: ‘So awesome getting to spend the afternoon with @amy_dowden today. Thanks for coming to visit the chaos of our house!’
Amy disclosed she will require chemotherapy after doctors detected new tumours following her mastectomy in an Instagram Live with breast cancer survivor and Paralympic medallist Erin Kennedy on Friday.
‘For me, my journey, everything changed,’ she said.
‘They found another type of cancer and then they told me I needed chemo – for me that was a massive blow,’ she continued.
‘It wasn’t in the plan, originally – and I know the plan you can’t get fixated on.’
Confirming she was not going to be able to compete in this year’s Strictly, she added: ‘This year, it means I’m not going to be able to dance with a celebrity on Strictly, but I’m in such regular contact with the team – the BBC have just been utterly incredible.’
