Ant and Dec mocked Janice Dickinson’s presence on Monday night’s premiere of the new spin-off programme I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
The 68-year-old American model originally featured on the game show set in the Australian jungle in 2007 and returned as part of the franchise for their special all-star season.
She completed the first bush-tucker assignment in the South African planes with Paul Burrell and Shaun Ryder, but it wasn’t her outdoor talents that drew the attention of the British presenting duo.
The renowned couple couldn’t stop themselves as they took a jab at the model’s supposedly improved facial characteristics while filming a link to the following portion of the show.
Ant and Dec implied that the celebrity had previously undergone cosmetic surgery, pointing out that just a portion of her face looked the same as it did before her jungle debut.
The presenters noted that while’some of her face seems recognisable,’ there were a few new elements that had been added over the years.
Fans instantly rushed to Twitter, sharing memes and highlighting Ant and Dec‘s statements.
‘Ant and Dec COMING for Janice… [sic],’ one wrote, over an image of the ogre Shrek making a face.
In the first episode of the new show’s unique twist on the series, the candidates faced three tasks.
Celebrities from past seasons of the famous show returned to South Africa to compete for the title of “I’m A Celebrity Legend” on the pre-recorded ITV reality show.
In the first episode, former royal butler Paul, Janice, and Shaun from the Happy Mondays come to compete in a separate challenge from the other celebrities.
‘I just met two campmates and they seem like such nice guys,’ Janice revealed. I wish I could remember who they were…’
Unlike the original model, the inaugural I’m A Celebrity Legend will not have a public vote and will instead include celebrities competing to be named the winner.
Former England footballer Jill Scott became queen of the jungle in the final series of the original format.
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa airs every night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
