Big Brother has officially resumed, but the turmoil has begun before the new housemates have even arrived.
Following the welcoming of all 16 participants into the legendary house by AJ Odudu and Will Best, narrator Marcus Bentley, aka Big Brother, had them all playing some children’s activities – musical statues and pass the parcel.
Jenkin, a 25-year-old barman from Bridgend, was asked who would be the most difficult housemate to live with based on his knowledge of knowing them all for less than an hour.
Under an intense pressure to choose one of his new housemates, Jenkin warned: ‘This is a game, we’re all friends, I’m going to say Olivia.’
Justifying his choice, he went on: ‘Just because I don’t think we’ve gelled, and that’s the reason it would be hard, because I haven’t really spoken to you.’
Jenkin was undoubtedly in a rage after being barred from using hot water and witnessing his own bag burst.

But Olivia was less than impressed, especially when she was told that his decision meant she would be up for the public vote ahead of Friday’s eviction.
‘It is what it is,’ she said at first, before making her own savage digs at Jenkin.
‘Well, at least I don’t have the f**king dress sense,’ she later hit back, in a nod to Jenkin’s Big Brother themed shirt.
Despite her best efforts, Olivia was overcome with emotion and cried on the Diary Room chair.
‘I just want to be away from people for a minute,’ she wept.
‘I’m nota crier, I’m getting angry at myself for even letting it get to me. And I’m an angry crier, so I’m getting annoyed at myself for f**king crying.’

She went on: ‘How do you enjoy the first night when you already know that realistically you could be gone in a few days?’
Olivia, a 23-year-old Glasgow dancer, went on to add that Jenkin was ‘intimidated’ by her, which is why he picked her despite not knowing her.
‘I don’t care,’ she added, repeating: ‘At least I don’t have the worst dress sense though.’
Fortunately for Olivia, Big Brother was feeling benevolent and provided her a way out of the public vote.
‘I’m going to give you the opportunity to change your fate and win immunity from the next eviction,’ the infamous voice offered.
‘Please save me, I don’t want to go home already,’ she begged. ‘What do I need to do? Jump up and down?’
Olivia was then instructed that in order to preserve herself, she needed to avoid being the least entertaining while keeping her objective a secret.
‘I will never be boring!’ she promised.
Big Brother continues on ITV2 and ITVX tomorrow night at 9pm.
