Billie Eilish will feature in her debut acting role in Swarm, which must have been the greatest secret in Hollywood.
Donald Glover of Childish Gambino and Janine Nabers are the creators of the new Amazon Prime Series, which will premiere on the streaming service on Friday.
According to the synopsis, the drama permits Dre (Dominique Fishback), a devoted follower of the world’s top pop musician, to go on an unexpected cross-country excursion.
Meanwhile, Billie, 21, whose character has yet to be revealed, is said to portray either a hazardous therapist or the head of an all-female cult.
Fans of the Bury a Friend chart-topper will be pleased to know that a new teaser trailer featuring the pop queen has been released, and her role is extremely threatening.
The caravan opens with Billie, who has long blonde hair, peering squarely into the eyes of a young woman before asking for her name.
‘Kayla,’ she replies earnestly, before Billie repeats the questions, receiving a different answer: ‘Dre’
‘Good,’ Billie soothes Dre, with the Ocean Eyes singer then asking her: ‘Tell me something you regret.’
The 30-second movie then cuts to another figure saying, clearly referring to Dre, who is shown with tears streaming down her face, ‘She’s so crazy but she’s got something.’
The Bad Boys singer’s spooky persona reappears after a frantic montage of a hand bashing its way through a bedroom door, a character crawling across a kitchen floor, and what looks to be cops arriving at a murder scene.
‘Did you hurt someone?’ she asks in a whisper, to which Dre replies firmly: ‘Yes.’
‘Really nice,’ says the Happier Than Even actor, who is giving us goosebumps at this moment.
Fans were shook to see the I Love You hitmaker in the trailer, with one writing: ‘BILLIE’S IN A MOVIE???!!!’
Another simply commented: ‘OMG’, while many others said they would be tuning in as soon as the series lands.
‘Billie can do everything, motherrrr,’ a third squealed.
In true Hollywood fashion, Billie was spotted earlier this week at the Oscars Vanity Fair party with beau Jesse Rutherford.
She’s previously won an award for best original song for her work on the James Bond theme song No Time To Die, but who knows how long it will be before she receives an acting nomination.
Swarm premieres on Amazon Prime Video on Friday March, 17.
