After solving a Rubik’s Cube while on fire, a Britain’s Got Talent auditionee left viewers hot and worried (quite literally).
Yes, we’re speechless, just like you!
The annual talent event returned for a second round on Sunday, and it was every bit as crazy and bizarre as the first.
Professional stuntman Thomas Vu was the final act to take the stage in tonight’s episode, and judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli were stunned to see him covered in a fire-retardant gel before being set alight as he quickly solved the popular 80s puzzle.
Bruno and Alesha battled to keep their gasps in check, as Simon and Amanda looked away in terror.
‘I can only be on fire for so long before I enter the danger zone where I risk being burnt,’ said Thomas.
Ant and Dec then warned viewers: ‘Do not try this at home, ever.’
Amanda shouted: ‘Oh my god’ as Thomas went up in flames.
Viewers were also stunned by the fiery scenes, with one person writing: ‘Solving a Rubik’s Cube while being set on fire… where do you go from that.’
Another joked: “Do not try this at home” ah man, I really wanted to try solving a Rubik’s cube whilst being set on fire.’
A third person added: ‘Don’t get me wrong, people do crazy stuff and it’s their choice and that’s fine by me but maybe that last act should have been well after the 9pm watershed?? Not sure that kind of playing with fire thing is suitable for young kids who probably stay up to watch BGT.’
Simon also used the golden buzzer on Malakai, a 13-year-old opera singer.
‘I was in tears!’, he said afterwards.
‘It really touched me and it was really simple. You sang like an angel.’
Fellow judge Amanda Holden hailed the performance ‘stunning’ and ‘flawless’.
‘You did yourself so proud,’ she praised.
Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
