Carol Vorderman has admitted that she was not a model student and even ordered a nun to ‘f*** off’.
The 62-year-old British media personality is most known for her 26-year stint on the game programme Countdown from 1982 to 2008.
Carol worked as an engineer before pursuing a career in show business, but the road to get there was not easy.
Carol, a student at Blessed Edward Jones Catholic High School in Rhyl, Wales, has stated that she may be challenging at times.
Carol revealed some facts about her adolescence when discussing with Myleene Klass about body positivity on Wednesday night’s broadcast of I’m A Celebrity…South Africa.
‘Never did my homework,’ she said when asked what she was like at school.
‘Seriously! Half an hour at the back of the bus. It was all too easy.
‘I was always being told off. I told a nun to f*** off once. She was horrible.’
She added: ‘I was a naughty girl. I was in nightclubs in Manchester at 15 with the bad boys. Loved it.’
Carol explained that she no longer uses bathroom scales and simply goes by ‘dress size’ during the conversation.
Agreeing she did the same Myleene, 45, said that ‘the second I had daughters, I threw out the scales’.
‘No way, I’m not going to have them ruled by numbers. Those numbers,’ she added.
Carol then stated that she tossed hers out in 1999 and had no idea what her weight was ‘this century’.
Myleene went on to say that people inquired her weight “all the time,” and she had no idea.
‘Why would you let your children measure themselves, their value, their contribution by numbers on a scale? I was like, no, get rid, I don’t want it in the house,’ she said.
‘Body positivity is so important. I want my girls to be empowered by what their abilities are and what they have to say for themselves and how they think. I want that to be celebrated, not skin and glands and fat. We all have it.’
Myleene raised a commotion on her debut visit on the programme in 2006 with a now-famous white bikini, which became one of the most talked-about shower moments.
She also reproduced it this season, which no doubt contributed to her swimsuit line with Next selling out.
The identical one she wore on the performance was later auctioned off for charity, with the proceeds totaling £7,500.
I’m a Celebrity… South Africa continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
