Christine Lampard has said that her father rescued her from a near-drowning incident when she was a little child.
Denise Welch, Gloria Hunniford, and Dame Kelly Holmes where on the Loose Women” panel, engaged in a conversation on facing and conquering water phobia.
‘I nearly drowned when I was about seven or eight,’ she began.
‘I remember dad literally pulling me out of the swimming pool, and I remember that feeling.
‘So I was never a fan of it’.
She proceeded by adding that Christine had overcome her phobia of water to water-ski 22 kilometres across the English channel for charity.
Christine said that she fell into the water more than seven times throughout the challenge, despite being warned that she would be “too fatigued” to continue if she did so more than three or four times.

The man, now 43, said, “It was so intense!”
Christine reflected on the fundraising total and remarked, ‘If you face your fears sometimes, great things can come of it,’
Denise overcame her fear of the ocean and jumped in, and Alison Hammond was there to see it and document it for the world to see.
At the same time, Gloria confessed that she didn’t know how to swim, and Dame Kelly said that she, too, had had “terrible experiences” in the water.
‘Cold water, I’m just so fearful,’ she began, explaining she was a ‘weak swimmer’.
Dame Kelly remembered a scenario from shooting Bear Grylls: Mission Survive in which the stars had to swim across a lake.
‘I just went, tried obviously, went on my side, went on my back, legs went under, I was underneath the water, managed to get my head up, went “I’m drowning!” the cameramen jumped in, they had to rescue me!
‘It was awful! I don’t know if I’ve ever got over that, yet I did go into the sea in Miami, I was well impressed with myself.’
