The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here it’s ….. the first look pictures of Coleen Rooney in the long-awaited Disney Plus documentary about the Wagatha Christie saga.
The Mouse House has treated us to three images from the much-anticipated programme of the mother-of-four, who is married to Wayne Rooney, looking like she means business.
Two pictures show Coleen, who is wearing a smart black suit (it is not confirmed whether it was from M&S) and has her golden brown hair half up, looking into the distance as she sits inside a courtroom with a notepad and pen ready.
The final image is of the Wag, 37, in the same outfit standing outside the courtroom clutching onto a small and a large handbag.
Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story will detail how Coleen turned into an amateur online sleuth to find an explanation for why private stories about her and her family continued to appear in the media.
It will look at the circumstances around her viral social media post in which she said she had carried out a months-long ‘sting operation’ and accused Rebekah Vardy, the wife of footballer Jamie Vardy, of leaking ‘false stories’ about her private life to the press.
Rebekah, 40, lost a libel suit against Coleen over the post in a trial that captivated the nation last summer, when a High Court judge ruled it was’substantially accurate.’
Her investigation skills earned her the moniker Wagatha Christie, after the famed mystery novelist Agatha Christie, and WAGS (wife and girlfriends of athletes).
Coleen recently addressed her popular tweet, claiming that she did not scribble it prior on her Notes app and preferred the old-fashioned manner.
She told British Vogue: ‘I like a pen and paper – a pencil and rubber, actually, so I can rub it out. So I started writing what I wanted to say and then the next morning I put it out there. That was the start of something that I would never have expected.’
Coleen also said that no one, not even her husband Wayne or her family, had any idea what she was about to do.
‘[The part] my friends and family were most surprised at me [for was] putting the post up,’ she said.
Coleen, her family, friends, and important characters in the case are all included in the Disney+ series.
The three-part documentary will also look at Coleen’s life and marriage to player Wayne Rooney over the previous two decades.
Vardy v Rooney – The Wagatha Christie Trial, a Channel 4 drama starring Chanel Cresswell and Natalia Tena as Coleen and Rebekah, respectively, as well as Michael Sheen, has already been adapted from the trial.
Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story is coming to Disney Plus.
